Monty's Mexico Foliar Applications and Related Articles
Foliar feeding is a very efficient way of feeding the plant in that
the nutrients go directly into the plant without influencing the
natural surroundings with chemical reactions. Chemical
fertilizers effect the soil environment with chemical reactions
causing degradation of the mineral structure within the soil.
These chemical reactions also lower the efficiency of the
fertilizer. We recommend foliar feeding of our products because
it is the most rapid way to gain access to the plant. As compared
to feeding the root zone, once inside the plant, the products of
Monty’s Mexico are able to translocate at a rate of approximately
6 inches per hour. Further, the use of foliar application insures a
higher percentage of nutrient utilization due to the product
volume loss which accompanies the degradation and
volatilization associated with root zone applications.
Foliar Feeding may be the Difference For Farming’s Future Science first proved the validity of foliar feeding in the 1950’s as Drs. H.B. Tukey and S.H. Whittwer applied radioactive isotopes to plant leaves to see if they were, indeed, taken up by the plant and then translocated within the plant.More about: Learn about Monty's Mexico Products
